"Despite the scary band name, this Danish punk outfit does not deal in brutal, aggressive skinhead hardcore explosions but lightweight half-happy half-sad unmanly pop punk. Okay, maybe pop punk sounds pejorative as the material sometimes sounds pretty close to old BAD RELIGION, so it's melodic hardcore or what? How the hell am I supposed to know what the kids call it these days?
ASSASSINATORS' strength lies in crafting mesmerizingly catchy songs with some melodic riffs worthy of IRON MAIDEN, particularly in songs such as "Sorte Ravne" and "Bag Tremmer". If these hit songs were to be put on an EP, it would be worthy of the highest grades. The overall sameness of the material on the album lowers its value somewhat and makes basically catchy and good songs sound redundant, by the time one reaches the end of the album. The vocalist Crusty Spice (what!?) has a good voice but emotionally and technically she's just the same in each song and the drummer plays the same beat at the same tempo." Review from Peacedogman

| About The Assassinators |
Hey everyone!
Our new LP called “SIGT EFTER HJERTET” is now released by Alerta Antifascista Records and it should still be possible to pick up the first 7” and the demo-tape 7” as well. Check www.no-pasaran.org for details about ordering. Now we’ve also got the songs from the demo-tape and the 1st 7” + 2 compilation tracks on CD if that should be of interest – drop us a message if you want one. In Copenhagen you can usually find our stuff in the lovely REPO MAN shop (that’s Fensmarksgade 36, 2200 Bronx). We’ve now returned from a crazy summer of 5 punk festivals and way too many beers.
Thank you so much if you were one of the people who put up a gig, came to a show, gave us a place to sleep, had a beer with us after a gig or helped us out in any other way.
From august we will take a much needed break from playing - about six months or so and travel as far away from each other as possible :) Oh yeah and we just recorded two new songs that will hopefully become a split 7" with a yet-to-be-revealed band sometime in the spring 2009.
