InfluencesToo many bands to count...

Mainly, our passion for a better world, our anger at the instutionalized racism, sexism and homophobia, the State and the class war it perpretrates everyday is what influences us. The world is being destroyed, and the power seems unstoppable, but our hope that we shall win is what keeps us going and writing our music.

REVIEWS-
Halo of Flies- "this is crusty, spastic hardcore from georgia that spits and careens one moment before settling into a quiet interlude and then its full speed ahead. this reminds me of MEREL running headlong into ANTISCHISM. earnest, angry and emotional, these folks mean business. not your slick crust record, but punk as fuck in the sense that i think this 3 piece do nothing else but play their asses off any chance they get, everyone else be damned. file under 90's hardcore/post crust. hand screened covers, and good well-written lyrics."

Reviews-
Prank Records- "Scathing, harsh, a lot like Anti-Schism"

"The newest release from THE SKUDS is a split with fellow Georgia crust punks REVOLUTIONARY YOUTH. THE SKUDS side has three balls-out metal-edged crust anthems with incredible recording courtesy of Jay at the legendary Jam Room. REVOLUTIONARY YOUTH contribute two powerful tracks that bounce between classic anarcho-punk and and more modern dark crust. Their vocals are shared by a scratchy throated male voice and a female voice that actually sings - giving for an over-all effect that's part FROM ASHES RISE and part ANTISCHISM. This EP comes on red wax with black swirls and is packahed ina mini-gatefold sleeve."-Profane Existence

I have a nice surprise Listening Revolutionary Youth, a band that i never listen before. Unforeseeable and original also this band with their fast and traditional HC-Crust with some meditative refrain. There is some influence from Neurosis, anarchopunk style and some clean and a melancholic voice that take to the memory the Crass. The recording is perfect and the 2 voices (male and female) with the guitar, bass and drum make a modern result, sometime chaotic sometime reflective with a feeling of anguish. The band name reflect the lyrics, nice and not common. There are social argumentation as the atrocity of Guantanamo (Locked Inside) and the alcool addiction (After Another Drink). Really a good split where the last think that can happen is to be bored-CustPunk(Itally)

“support

Revolutionary Youth was started in september of 2004 by Alec and Johnny Revolution. In 2006, we had some major changes We added our first bassist ever, Ry-Ry Riot. We instantly sounded better. Sadly, Ry-Ry had to leave the band, due to complications in September of 2006.
Next we added our good friend Leeroi on bass. This lineup put Revolutionary Youth in a completely new position. In January of 2007, we added a female vocalist, Rhay, a friend of ours who is 17. Me and Alec had been wanting this addition for a while. The sound changed tremendously in a much better way, and we were really excited on the direction we were heading in.

In early March, we completed recording and the artwork for "Under Surveillance", which we got support from our friends at Contagium records to put it out. It was put out in mid-April. Unfortunately, we had to split ways with Leeroi.

We got our good friend Parsa on bass, and we recorded at the Jam Room for our side of the split 7" with The Skuds-info at at the top of this page.

after having some issues with with Rhay we had to split ways.
In the summer of 2008 we came out with our self titled CD
we are now underway with releasing our first 12", bleed/decay. it will be out by this winter. will also be going on tour this winter.

The one thing that has been consistent in the whole life of Revolutionary Youth so far and probably will continue. We have always had people talk shit about us for our politics and for our NO COMPROMISE stance on racism, sexism and homophobia. To follow our beliefs, we said fuck off to the normal GA "punk scene" and we said fuck off to pretty much all of the venues in GA. We have Self-Respect, Dignity, and we try to change the world in which we live in, and stay true, no matter the fucking cost. If you think we're "too pushy", "too PC", "too serious", then FUCK YOU. Racism, sexism and homophobia is serious and we will fight it.Our Self-Respect is worth more than playing a packed venue show. SO WE'LL CONTINUE FIGHTING, TOWARD A FREE AND EQUAL WORLD.

Solidarity Forever, Johnny Revolution

Haha, funny joke Parsa.
I wouldn't joke like that in public though, because some people might not understand it's a joke and they might try to kill you. They'd probably win in court too, because EVERYONE loves Phukchorce. It's just the way the world works.
It’s Lee Bloch!

Oh shit, sorry Parsa, we just got finished booking 3 shows, over 3 nights, back to back at your dorm room, courtesy of your roommate, who really loves us. It's probably going to be kind of hush-hush; some kind of kind of acoustic show, because if too many people found out we were there, well, they would probably tear your dorm building apart to try to get to us. Also, following those, there is going to be a couple of shows at your house, because your mom completely loves us as well, and so we figured as long as were in town, we might as well do favor for a friend. So... sorry about that, but you might as well enjoy the free show you're going to receive from the world's most famous and popular band.
